Dean's Page
Dear prospective student:
We welcome all students who intend to join us via the internet
as correspondence students.
You should know up front that our fundamental
purpose at CCBI is to introduce as many individuals to Jesus
Christ, to give them the opportunity to mature in the intimacy of
knowing our Lord, to discover and pursue their calling with all
their heart and to the fullest of their ability.
We believe the best way to achieve this goal
is to use the internet for instructional purposes. It is our
intention, therefore, to put the whole CCBI curriculum on the
internet over an extended period on a rotational basis. At the moment, we are in a period of
transition. Simply put, we are still in the process of putting
all our courses on the internet. We however, have recently
uploaded multiple video courses in the fall of 2007.
Once a course is completed and on the internet,
the students will have time to prepare the assignments at their
own speed and then put them in the hands of the instructor
directly or by e-mail or online assignment
pages for grading. Only in exceptional
circumstances will this pattern be broken. Those internet
correspondence students living outside the greater metropolitan
area of Halifax will, of course, benefit by having a greater
number of internet courses available to them.
Most of the courses required to
complete a diploma program of study, the on campus student will
have to go to the CCBI internet website, listen and take notes of
the course content and email assignment to
ccbi.citychurch@ns.sympatico.ca. If you
have any questions please email me using the email address above
with the subject heading "For the Dean."
we will make every effort to answer any questions
you have as expeditiously as possible.
If you have any questions or require
additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
