 The
Pentateuch or the five books of Moses are the first five books of
the Old Testament or the Bible. This course is designed to
acquaint you with these by providing you with a very brief overview
of each book. It will place each book in the redemptive
history of God which culminates in Jesus Christ. Emphasis will
be put on how these books point to the coming of the Messiah, his
substitutionary death on the cross and his resurrection.

Poetical Books of the Hebrew Scripture are Job, Psalm, Proverbs,
Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon. They cover a period from
2000BC to the time of the Kings of Israel. The poetical books
have much to do with the human heart and how Israel relates to God
on a spiritual level as individuals. This course will follow
the progressive revelation of the promised seed of redemption, Jesus
the Messiah.

How to Study the Bible
